GL Laptop Sleeve: Giving to educate, giving to build a better future

For this new social initiative by Güell Lamadrid, we have created and designed the GL laptop sleeve. The idea came from our ambassador Marta Riopérez, director of Elle Decoración España and Nuevo Estilo magazine, who suggested that we use our discontinued fabrics and remnants to create "the most beautiful and practical laptop sleeve imaginable". We were instantly captivated by this brilliant concept, and, in line with our unwavering commitment to social impact across all Lamadrid Values platform products, we're thrilled to announce that 100% of the proceeds from every sale will be dedicated to the NGO Entreculturas, an organization that holds Riopérez as a proud patron. ENTRECULTURAS NGO champions education for marginalized communities across 40 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia, firmly believing that education is the cornerstone for driving positive change and fostering social justice.

More than a laptop sleeve: a tool for social change

Protect your computer with the GL Laptop Sleeve, made from 4 of our discontinued fabrics to create a ZERO WASTE sustainable product that is not only stylish but also provides complete protection for your device. Made from durable materials, it has a secure zip closure and 2 rings on the sides in case you want to use it with a long ‘handle’ and hang it over your shoulder. The soft padded interior prevents chafing on your laptop and is effective against the inevitable knocks and bumps.

In addition to its practicality, our sleeve has a modern and elegant design that adds a touch of class to your laptop.

With a capacity for laptops up to 13″, it is compatible with a wide range of brands and models. Whether at work, school or on the move, you can carry your computer with confidence and peace of mind. Protect your investment, keep your digital world safe and bring education to disadvantaged communities.

"The GL Laptop Sleeve is a practical gift with the best of intentions".

The GL Laptop Sleeve protects your computer. It also promotes education and equal access.

More than just a sleeve to protect your laptop, the GL Laptop Sleeve is beautiful, lightweight and durable. It can be an ideal and practical purchase or gift to help change the future of the most disadvantaged in 40 countries through the NGO Entreculturas, which works to provide quality education to children. For this reason, 100% of the profits from the sale of Lamadrid Values sustainable clothing for social purposes will go to this NGO.

Want to be part of the change?

"An educated people is a creative people, full of initiative.

It was with this idea in mind that the Jesuit José María Vélaz began working with marginalised children in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1955. His model of “popular education” soon spread throughout Latin America, and in Spain the Entreculturas Foundation was born, which works to create a culture of solidarity and global change through volunteer programmes, educational proposals and public advocacy actions.

Cover made by a sewing workshop of the Roure Foundation

This cover was produced by the Emili Papirer Sewing Workshop and School, which is part of the Roure Foundation. This production is based on the principles of ethical production and proximity, and is an example of local, sustainable and “0 km” production. In addition to alterations for the local population, small productions for textile companies and courses for individuals, this sewing workshop also carries out important social work, since it uses its income mainly to train people who have no resources from social organisations, in order to facilitate their integration into the labour market and society.
